SV Battalion Probes Laos Border for NVA Bases
A 700-strong South Vietnamese battalion combs the Laotian border area northwest of Ben Het in search of a major North Vietnamese base and command headquar ters. Prisoners claim NVA units with about 50 tanks and possible missiles are hidden in caves along the frontier. No major U.S. support yet, but air strikes and gunships may be used if a target is found. Civil Rights Case Goes to Jury in Alabama
