Mystery phone calls target athletes prompt state police probe
Law enforcement investigates a wave of February calls to high school and college athletes in Kansas from a man posing as a Missouri recruiter. The caller advised secrecy, asked about discipline, and urged self spanking. Similarities link Riccardi case to the Lawrence incident and other reports across multiple states. Investigators and officials collected voice recordings and home searches, with parallels to the Missouri and Kansas investigations. The timeline remains unclear as authorities coordinate with Iowa, Nebraska, and Texas inquiries.
