KU graduates redefine nontraditional students
KU graduates recount turning points from a hard route back to college. The piece profiles diverse nontraditional students including a former bank robber who earned a degree in African and African American studies and a 77 year old English major who completed an associate arts degree. It also highlights immigrant stories from Odessa and a refugee worker who aided former Soviet Union families.
