Reid Ruled To Stand Pat On Nine Month Sentence

Mrs Alline Keck a 23 year old widow was acquitted by a district court jury in Olathe Kansas of murder in the fatal shooting of her husband Allen Keck. The jury deliberated for an hour and a half. Keck admitted fatally wounding him amid a quarrel over another woman but said she thought the pistol was unloaded and used it to bluff him into staying home. The prosecution said she surprised him during a telephone call when he used the word honey and shot in jealousy.

Police say Loyce McCormick a 21 year old stenographer confessed membership in a girl gang led by Earl Courter. She admitted robbering Ed Patrick at a hotel party then tying him while Mrs Patrick was driven away to delay discovery.
