Swarthout Recital Hall Pre Renovation Concert Marks Finale

Swarthout Recital Hall at KU will host a 5 30 p m decommissioning concert marking its final performance before renovations begin later this month. Faculty artists and School of Music Dean Robert Walzel perform, celebrating 57 years of music and more than a million attendees. The $2.5 million project will upgrade seating lighting AV and access, with funding including a $1 million gift from the Muriel McBrien Kauffman Foundation, renovations to run into 2015.
