U.S. tightens Iraq interrogation rules under Sanchez

Pentagon disclosed Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez ordered a narrowing of permissible techniques for interrogations in Iraq. He approved 25 isolation requests since mid October, rejected three for stress positions, and barred most coercive methods, saying approved tactics comply with international law.

300 Iraqi inmates freed from Abu Ghraib by US forces
