Laird Refutes 2 Billion C-5A Overrun Claim

KU disciplinary board suspends three students in campus disruption
The Kansas University Disciplinary Board after a public hearing suspended three students William Berkowitz Richard Atkinson and Donald Jenkins from the university until spring semester 1970 but then placed them on disciplinary probation to allow possible readmission. Firecracker blast damages door at Ridge Court home
A firecracker taped to the door of a home at 2545 Ridge Ct exploded around 12 24 am causing about 88 in damage. Lawrence police say no one was home and a name could not be confirmed though Leo T West is listed at the address. A window and door casing were damaged. Nearby neighbor reported a loud noise and asked police to investigate.

KU Senior Michael Malmud Death Ruled Self Inflicted
Douglas County coroner Dr James Reed ruled the death of 21 year old Kansas University senior Michael M Malmud a death by own action. Malmud was found in his Naismith Hall dorm room by a maid on February 24.

Lawrence will receive about 3.33 dollars per resident or 119667 dollars as its share of the 1969 gasoline tax.
