Car Turned Turtle Injuring Driver Near Lawrence
E. T. Gallagher of 1189 Tennessee street suffered a broken collar bone and two broken ribs when a Ford runabout overturned about 1.5 miles south of Lawrence. A hired driver named Bishop was unhurt aside from minor bruises. The accident happened as the car, in to let another pass, hit a deep rut and steering failure caused the vehicle to turn turtle near No 6 school house. Gallagher was returning from buying horses. he was taken home to Lawrence and his condition was reported favorable, though recovery will be lengthy.
