Lawrence man cited for disorderly conduct near Sonic Drive-In
Lawrence police cited a 57 year old man for disorderly conduct after a complaint of threatening statements near 1015 E 23rd St. A knife was recovered but not used, and no arrest was made. Osage County deputies pursued four suspects after a short car chase near US 75 and a county road. A juvenile girl and two males reported no births Saturday. Three Topeka suspects held on felony obstruction as deputies continued search. Fire calls included a building fire at 660 Gateway Court Friday night.

Mass of Christian Burial for Beulah Nash in Kansas City
Beulah Nelson Nash 92 of Lawrence will be buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery after a Mass of Christian Burial at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Kansas City Kansas. She was born September 12 1913 in Green and held degrees from KU UMKC and KCKCC. She taught near Green and worked at KU Medical Center library and the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. She moved to Lawrence in 1985 and was a member of the Round Table Literary Club. She married Francis J Nash in 1937. he died in 1975. Survivors include two daughters, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Memorials to St. Jude or the National Kidney Foundation. Friends may call Tuesday 6 to 8 pm with a rosary at 6 at Joseph A Butler and Son Funeral Home.
