Two Young Men Face Break-Enter Charges
Veeder Van Dorn aged 18 from Denver Colorado and Brian Harold Collins aged 20 from Beloit were arrested in the 600 block on Indiana Street for unlawful breaking into Peterson Liquor Store at 910 N. 2nd St. They broke a south side window to enter and allegedly took two half gallon bottles of liquor. They are to appear in County Court this afternoon. Five other persons with them were released after questioning. The pair were in Lawrence to perform with a musical group.

James Melson, 22, of 422 Hl. St., was sentenced in Federal District Court to three years in the penitentiary for driving a stolen car across state lines.
