James Kimball Gles spent nearly three months dispersing funds from a $165,000 First National Bank account in Hutchinson. He bought luxury goods, rode limousines, and stayed in upscale hotels across Albuquerque, Los Angeles, and Denver before being traced by an FBI probe. He was arrested after a driver recognized him in Albuquerque and faced a jail sentence amid a quest for parole and a dramatic attempt to rob a bank with a bleach box note. Summers voiced love for him, while authorities outlined the escape, travels, and subsequent law proceedings.
A federal judge ordered Potosi Correctional Center to permit Mark Juan Hamilton a Choctaw inmate to construct a sweat lodge for Indian rites.
