Seminarians Support Reparations and Student Protests Across Campuses
Union Theological Seminary seminarians staged a day long sit in demanding 500 million in reparations for racial injustice while about 100 Marietta College students began a hunger strike in Ohio. At City College of New York president Copeland pledged negotiations to address demands for a separate black studies school and minority enrollment. Lincoln University Jefferson City students ended a sit in after a restraining order was read.

KU Senate in Emergency Session Takes No Action on Disruptions

McDonald Named Top KTA Chairman in Unanimous Vote
Frank McDonald of Lawrence was elected chairman of the Kansas Turnpike Authority, succeeding Paul E. Burke Jr. who left the board April 30. John D. Montgomery became vice chairman and Terence Scanlon joined to replace Burke. Scanlon’s appointment was announced by Gov. Docking. McDonald, a former three term chairman, praised the agency and pledged improvements and rate stability.
