Homer O Evans 80 of Ulysses died Saturday May 10 2002 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center St. Francis Wichita Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church Ulysses burial with military rites at Golden Cemetery Ulysses He was born October 6 1921 in Kiowa County son of Budd and Nora Evans served in World War II and received the Presidential Citation He married Bertha Bohling in 1947 He is survived by three daughters two brothers a sister and three granddaughters Memorials to the U S Holocaust Museum or donor chosen organization care of Garland Funeral Home Ulysses
