Innocent pleas entered for mother and stepfather in girl's slaying
Kansas City judge entered not guilty pleas Tuesday for Michelle Johnson and Harrell Johnson both of Muskogee Oklahoma. They face one count each of second degree murder and endangering the welfare of a child in the death of Erica Michelle Marie Green known as Precious Doe. Johnsons are held and bond set at $500000 for Michelle. Harrell waived preliminary hearing. next appearances set for Monday. Neighbors testified at the brief hearing as the couple remained reserved. The headless body of Erica Green was found in a Kansas City park in April 2001 after investigators say Harrell Johnson admitted to drinking and using PCP before the fatal blow and severing the head with hedge clippers.
