Artful masks and pins mark United Way fundraiser
Kansas artist David Van Hee creates hundreds of miniature face pins from found materials for the Spirit of Kaw Valley donors. The pins, reflecting his quirky style, will be given at a Garden reception hosted at the Golden residence in Lawrence. Van Hee, who splits time between his workshop near Lawrence and gallery displays, keeps a busy six to fourteen hour workday assembling these limited pieces. The fundraiser celebrates United Way donors and showcases Van Hee’s eclectic art along with local civic support.
