Regents Approve Uniform Fees Change At State Universities

The Lawrence Woman's Club completed a mortgage payoff of about 857 dollars for the club house at 1941 Massachusetts Street. Seven hundred fifty seven dollars came from club members, with 200 dollars voted by the board to finish the debt. A clarifying party is planned for late June to celebrate the payment. The building, ten years old, was bought from Mrs. George K. Mackie and is now rented to the University of Kansas as housing for a group of Delta Delta Delta sisters.

Wing Shears Off In Collision Between Plane And Truck
A Civil Air Patrol PT 18A plane being towed from Lawrence Municipal Airport to Haskell Institute grounds had its right wing sheared off when it struck by a passing truck near Sixteenth and Massachusetts streets. The wing was a complete loss and weather rain contributed to the accident, according to George Berg of Haskell Institute.
