Kansas City Burlington Santa Fe Railway Plans Extend to Arizona

The Financial and Commercial Chronicle reports the Kansas City Burlington and Santa Fe Railway will be extended this year from Burlington to Wichita and from Ottawa to De Soto, reaching Leavenworth for Chicago connections. A mortgage of 11,000,600 covers 700 miles, with engineering crews to start this month and a New York group funding through the New York New England and Western Investment Company. Directors elected at Dartington include Joseph P. Hale and others from New York and Burlington components. officers to be chosen in New York later this month.
