Fire damages four apartment complex. no injuries reported
Firefighters gained control around 11:30 p.m. at a four unit building in Lawrence. The ground level west unit sustained the most damage and appears to be the origin. An upstairs unit left open allowed the fire to travel up the stairs. A prior two alarm blaze at 1904 W 24th St caused injuries and prompted Red Cross aid for displaced residents. The cause remains under investigation.
