Reno County authorities report 20 year old Nickerson man Chance Ramsey and his horse drowned after chasing a stray cow into a pond in southwest Reno County. Sheriff Randy Henderson said rescuers arrived Saturday afternoon but Ramsey could not be revived. The horse also died.

Fla professor charged with enticing a child
Florida State University music professor James H. Nalley is charged in Ford County with five counts of electronic solicitation for using the Internet to entice a girl under 16 to commit an illegal sex act. He was arrested April 28 in Tallahassee and brought to Ford County May 1, with a first appearance this week and a court order restricting travel. The alleged contacts occurred between March and April 2008 in Ford County.
