Topeka Coed Wins Miss Lawrence KU Title

Susan Wassenberg, a 20 year old KU junior, won Miss Lawrence KU after performing a jazz routine to Constant Rain. She is the daughter of Topeka residents Ramon and Mrs. Wassenberg and was KU Homecoming Queen in 1968. Carolyn Weber placed first runner up and Janelle Smykil second runner up, with Miss Congeniality chosen by the contestants.

Chancellor Seeks Action After Wescoe Stadium Protest

Chancellor W Clarke Wescoe canceled the annual review after 175 demonstrators breached a gate at Memorial Stadium and sat on the field. Police Group to File Civil Rights Suit Over KU Disruption
