Kansas concealed gun permits gain recognition by Delaware and 39 states

Kansas permit holders may carry concealed firearms in Delaware and 39 states including Maine and New Mexico, but not in California, New York, Massachusetts or other nonrecognizing states. Kansas still allows constitutional carry with voluntary permits, and 85,000+ holders exist. House Bill 2042 would have lowered age to 18 with permit requirements for 18 to 21, but died without floor action.

Deer Rescued From Basement Of House Under Construction

A deer became trapped in the basement of a rural Douglas County house under construction. Sheriff deputies and two residents corralled and roped the animal, lifting it out for handover to a wildlife officer. The deer was released unharmed at the 100 block of East 650 Road.
