KU Baseball Canceled by Lightning Threat in Lawrence
Due to thunderstorms in the area Kansas University's baseball game against Rockhurst on Wednesday was canceled after over an hour of weather delay in Lawrence. KU will host Oklahoma in a three game Big 12 series beginning Friday at Hogland Ballpark at 7 p.m. Friday.

Pullins Qualifies From Power-Man Tennessee Duathlon
Lawrence's Jerry Pullins, a former Kansas University track athlete, won the amateur division at Power-Man Tennessee near Nashville, earning a spot on Team USA for the ITU Duathlon World Championships in August in Weyer, Austria. He placed fifth overall, finishing three minutes ahead of the next amateur. International qualifier Cole Young of Overland Park, from Lawrence's Jayhawk Diving Club, placed second at the National Junior Meet in Baton Rouge and qualified for an international meet in Ottawa. Young, 14, placed second on the one-meter board and fifth on three meters, as part of a busy weekend of regional sports results.
