Former Baptist principal captured in Las Vegas in child enticement case
William A. Beith, 28, a former Liberty Baptist Academy principal from Lake Station Indiana, was arrested in Las Vegas on federal charges of coercing and enticing a minor and transporting a minor across state lines for sexual purposes after a missing 8-year-old Gary girl was spotted by a police officer in a casino parking lot. The girl had been missing since May 1 following a family dispute at a discount store. The report also recalls a separate incident in Peru where missionary plane pilot Veronica Bowers and her 7-month-old daughter died when shot down by a Peruvian jet, and the Bowers family survived others.
