President Eisenhower announced at a news conference that he will have a major head-to-toe physical examination on Friday the day after tomorrow. The checkup will include heart tests with cardiograms and other standard procedures and is not tied to his Denver heart attack last September.
Lawrence gas customers may receive partial refunds dating back to September 1954 as Cities Service and FPC near a compromise rate settlement. Kansas Public Service Co says it will pass any refunds to customers if approved and notes a separate April rate increase is already being refunded on upcoming bills.
