Dillons Plans New West Campus Store in KU Development
Dillons and KU Endowment announce a larger 86,000 square foot store to be built on Iowa Street near Clinton Parkway as part of West Campus development. Construction begins this summer. the current 23rd Street store will remain open until the new location opens. The project totals about 30,000 square feet more retail space and 150 new employees, with a similar layout to the Westar Sixth Street/Wakarusa store. Steve Dreher highlights local history since 1960 and the aim to boost fresh affordable food access.
