Spray Park Nears Opening in Lyons Park
Lawrence plans a 3000 square foot spray park at Lyons Park with multiple water devices and a push button timer. Delays occurred after a 90 percent complete phase due to concrete finishing problems, pushing opening to late June at earliest. The project includes playground replacement, a new synthetic surface, and a modern shelter, with bids to be opened later in the year as the city rolls out more spray parks citywide.
