Democrats cautious on NBAF funding in Kansas
Kansas lawmakers raise questions on Brownback plan to authorize 202 million in bonds for the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility. Senate and House leaders say more information is needed while affirming support for the lab at Kansas State University and its 300 plus high paying jobs. The Legislature reconvenes to decide on the bonds and fulfill a 2009 financing agreement with federal officials.
