Chicago Socialists and Labor Strikes Across States

Brakemen Strike Ends Across Union Pacific Line

May 7 report from Cueyenne Wyoming states the brake men strike ended with obstructions removed at Laramie and Rawlins and most workers re employed by the general superintendent. Separately at Dernort Michigan the strike situation shows little change with 4200 out or idle. Sigma Chi convention featured speeches banquets and toasts with delegates from multiple states and universities in attendance. A Lawrence dentist noted for gold plate work was praised and a district No 55 school exhibition featured a well received program and refreshments. Inter State Oratorical Association elected officers and set Bloomington Illinois as next contest site. The Home Aid Society of North Lawrence presented a literary program and raised funds. local millinery stock advertised.
