Baker bats fall to Mount Mercy in semifinal loss
Baker University baseball dropped a 9-3 decision to Mount Mercy in the Heart of America Conference tournament semifinal. The Wildcats led 1-0 in the second as Kolden Howerton scored and 2-1 on a Howerton RBI before Mount Mercy pulled away with a 9-2 edge by the eighth. Jaidon Bowers scored on Camden Karlin’s RBI in the ninth, but the rally fell short.
