McLouth schools end year early amid budget concerns
McLouth public schools will finish on May 15 instead of May 21 as a cost cutting measure. Superintendent Steve Lilly says the school year will exceed the required 1 116 hours by about 60 hours, with athletics continuing as scheduled. The move saves roughly 65 000 in transportation and food costs while districts face potential state funding cuts.
