Mary Traver, 79, of Lawrence Kansas, died April 28, 2015 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Born December 3, 1935 in St Louis, she married Hans Traver in 1957 and raised three daughters while pursuing art across multiple media. Survived by husband Hans, brother David Fischer, sister Elizabeth Krachenberg, daughters Lisa Janna and Kay, and many nieces and nephews. A KU 1957 art graduate, her works were published and displayed. no services per her wishes. Memorials suggested to charity.
Lawrence police spokesman Sgt. Trent McKinley cited funding, policy updates, privacy issues and staffing needs before a body worn camera program could launch.
