British police searched airports and harbors and alerted ships for traces of a gas-gun gang that hijacked 140 gold bars worth 2.1 million dollars in London. Interpol was asked to monitor docks abroad as officers pursued clues about six to ten bandits and possible smuggling to the Far East.
