Neighbors Help Rebuild Barn After Devastating Fire
In Midland area, neighbors from Sunnyside rallied to raise a new barn for J. C. Nottingham two miles north and half a mile west of Midland. The April 11 fire destroyed the original barn and Buick sedan. Nottingham was burned while rescuing belongings. About 28 men and 20 women attended the rebuilding effort with trucks, teams, a noon covered dish lunch, and some corn planting. Nottingham is recovering from injuries.
