Paving Moves On On Massachusetts Street Widening Planned
The Massachusetts street paving crew worked in the 1700 block laying concrete on the west center strip toward Seventeenth Street. A large mixing machine operated from Nineteenth and Massachusett s, trucks hauling concrete along the center strip. After west side completion to Eleventh, crews will finish the east side to Twentieth and then proceed to Ninth Street. The Abel Construction asphalt plant at the brick yard closed temporarily as resurfacing nears end. Next, widening of Eleventh from Massachusetts to Vermont will begin with ten feet added per side in concrete under a CWA project with materials on site.
