Reluctant lottery winner to give away most of prize
Wallace Quammen, a 71 year old retired Boeing engineer from North Seattle, claimed a 6 million dollar lottery prize after delaying for months. He plans to donate most of the after tax 216000 yearly payments to churches and charities including Lutheran Ministries and Montana State University. He said he and his wife debated whether to claim and preferred anonymity but chose to help others rather than keep the windfall.
