Douglas County officials seek dismissal in wrongful incarceration suit
Douglas County and current and former sheriffs, named with Douglas County generally, move to dismiss Rontarus Washington Jr.’s federal suit for wrongful incarceration on grounds of qualified immunity, statute of limitations, and failure to specify a violation. The suit, filed February 15 by attorney Larry Michel, names former Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson, Sheriff Jay Armbrister, and former sheriffs Ken McGovern and Randy Roberts.
