City commissioners will consider about 100000 in incentives for Tenants to Homeowners Cedarwood Senior Cottages at 125 Cedarwood Ave behind the United Way building in South Lawrence. Supreme Court to hear Kansas death sentence appeals
The U S Supreme Court agreed to hear Kansas appeals seeking reinstatement of death sentences for two brothers convicted of robbing four people and forcing sex acts before shooting them naked on a Wichita soccer field in 2000. It also agreed to review a Kansas Supreme Court ruling overturning a death sentence for a Great Bend double murder in 2004.
