Leaders seek to stop FDA Lenexa lab closure update
Kansas and Missouri lawmakers and staff press FDA to halt the consolidation plan that would close the Lenexa laboratory along with six others. The Lenexa site opened in 1992 and employs more than 50, housing the Total Diet and Pesticide Research Center. Officials say modernization drives the move, while critics warn of impacts on food safety and national security.
