Meteorite from Mars Identified in Zagami Find
A 40 pound meteorite that landed in Africa in 1962 and was named Zagami has been identified as Martian in origin. Lead author Kurt Marti of UC San Diego notes gas bubbles match Mars atmosphere and estimates Zagami resided in space about 3 million years.
