Woman Arraigned in Death of Newborn Son in Fulton
A 21 year old woman named Carol Starman was arraigned in Fulton Missouri on a first degree murder charge in the death of her newborn son found in a trash burner behind an apartment. The Central Missouri Squad led by Ted McGrath reported 13 officers on the case. Starman, who moved from Mt Pleasant Iowa two months earlier, lived with her common law husband Lucian Cote. She told police the six pound boy was born in her apartment and she was unattended at the birth.
