Parents sue state over parole in PSU murder case
The parents of Carrie Williams sue Kansas alleging parole officer Donna Pyle and the state failed to supervise Gary Kleypas, a nursing student at Pittsburg State University who killed Williams in 1996 after prior murder conviction and probation violations. They argue prior knowledge of his offenses and bar access allowed the crime. The suit cites failures to notify building managers and to restrict access to Williams' apartment.
