Seven New Architectural Wonders Per Conde Nast Traveler
Conde Nast Traveler favors seven designs as the new seven wonders of architecture. Cumulus in Denmark showcases a cloudlike irregular roof. Burj Dubai rises over 1,700 feet with plans above 2,275 feet. Wembley Stadium in London features a 436-foot arch for 90,000 spectators. New Museum of Contemporary Art on Manhattan's Bowery resembles stacked silvery rectangles. Kogod Courtyard at the Smithsonian in D.C. uses a glass grid roof above a pool. Red Ribbon at Tanghe River Park in Qinhuangdao traces a milelong riverbank path. The Crystal at Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum shocks with sharp angles designed by Daniel Libeskind.
