Murder case drags as inmate nears four years in jail
Douglas County records show Rontarus Washington Jr. has been in custody over three years the longest inmate there. His murder case remains complex with a Sept 24 trial date after minor motions. Washington, now 21, faces possible life without parole amid defense requests for further forensic testing. Police linked Mosso death at 1727 W 24th St in 2014, with Washington living nearby when the case began.
