Early warm spring boosts lawn care and garden center sales

Lawn care firms like Lawrence Landscape report mowing weeks earlier and strong winter sales as customers seek outdoor improvements. Howard Pine's Garden Center opened early on Feb 20 and sees busy days for vegetables while warning tomato plants are too early. Fruit growers brace for possible late frost after last year’s losses.
