News from Washington reports Admiral Spatts died March 9 at Stanley Falkland Island and was buried there. In Cincinnati the Star Route cases were called with no defendants present and postponement set for Saturday. The Mayors Office of Lawrence Kansas proclaims an election on April 4 1882 from 9 am to 4 pm at several ward sites. Voters will select one Justice of the Peace two Constables one Councilman and one Board of Education member per ward plus an additional member in the sixth ward. Polling places include City Hall Goulds Store and Andrews Tucker stores on Massachusetts Street and other ward locations.
