San Diego March 22 The United States navy plans a 2000 horsepower flying boat capable of nonstop flights from Los Angeles to China and back to Midway Island a distance about 12000 miles. Consolidated Aircraft will deliver the first boat in about 60 days and it could reach 360 miles per hour. The current navy plane runs at 179 miles per hour with a 5000 mile range.
