Retired DuPont Tecumseh workers renew camaraderies at monthly lunch
A group of 25 former DuPont Tecumseh workers met Tuesday at King Buffet in Lawrence for their monthly lunch. Several wore bright red DuPont jackets and vintage gear from the plant era, recalling 1980s retirements after Flexel and now Innovia Films operate the site. Members, including Jim Stokes, 89, reflected on friendships, safety honors, and missing colleagues while sharing memories and stories from their long careers.
