Stowaways die after fumigation on cargo ship
Three stowaways hidden in a sealed hold aboard the Ostfriesland died from disinfectant fumes during fumigation. The 496 foot Singaporeregistered vessel arrived in New York from Abidjan Ivory Coast with immigration officials aboard. The bodies were found wedged between cocoa containers after the hold was unsealed.
