Motorcycle crash on KU campus leaves student in critical condition
A 20-year-old Kansas University student was rushed by helicopter to KU Medical Center in Kansas City Kansas in critical condition after a crash with a university maintenance pickup on 15th Street near Burdick Drive. He was transported from LMH after injuries described as severe head trauma. helmet use was not confirmed. The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Witnesses were interviewed and further details were pending.

Diane Low a South Junior High School English and Core teacher in Lawrence was chosen as a 1992 Kansas Master Teacher. She joins six other educators in receiving the honor from Emporia State University, with a nine member committee selecting winners after nominations from local associations and faculties.
