Morris Sits, Then KU Breaks Away For 88 76 Win Over UK

Kansas moved past Kentucky 88 76 as Morris fouled out early in the second half. With Morris on the bench for about five minutes KU seized momentum, getting into the paint then kicking out for a flurry of three pointers and mid range jumpers. Julian Wright and Brandon Rush fueled the surge while Morris later added 22 points and eight rebounds but missed fewer shots than expected.

Cardinals face uncertain start as injuries linger

St Louis outfielders Juan Encarnacion and Jim Edmonds endure mixed spring reports. Encarnacion trails schedule with wrist pain after December surgery and may miss opening day, while Edmonds progresses with shoulder and toe repairs and could appear in the final spring games if no setbacks arise. Manager Tony La Russa and team doctor George Paletta cite ongoing recovery and planned batting practice to gauge readiness.
